We decided to go up to Salt Lake Friday night to watch the criterium stage of Tour of Utah. We were a little worried what the traffic and parking were going to be like so we decided to park in Sandy and take Trax up. We were able to get with in a block of the race. We had a pretty good view of the start and finish line and everybody seemed suprised at how fast they were going. The first stage started on Wednesday in Nephi and that seemed to make the kids even more excited about going up. There was a guy standing next to us and that kept talking to the girls and explaining what was going on and they were asking him questions as well. After the race, the kids were trying to find free stuff with Kai ending up getting a dirty water bottle with the Team Discovery channel logo on it. I think the kids had a blast. Cynthia was a little sad to see a guy from Argentina win this stage. On the way home Kai wanted to bet me a buck that he could stay awake the whole way home, only to lose before we even got on the freeway. As tired as I was from finishing up my last week of work, it was a lot more fun than I thought it was going to be. (The picture above is of 4 riders from the Garmin-Chipotle Team which happens to be Kalea's favorite team. She wore a sweater that has their same logo on it and asks questions about them all of the time.)

Sounds like fun. My kids would probably love riding the train too.
