We also went to Sacrament Meeting in our old ward and other than a few new faces, it felt like we never left. This was my first trip back since the move and it was as relaxing as we thought it would be. As we were leaving both Cynthia and I talked about how much we miss Cedar City and would have like to have seen more people.

Another Trip to Cedar City
Cynthia and I took a trip down to Cedar City this weekend without the kids. Some friends of ours were getting Sealed in the St. George Temple and we wanted to be there with them. We drove down after Cynthia got off work Friday night. When we arrived we stayed up late talking with the Barricks (who we stayed with) and the Christians (another couple couple who also drove down) and it was nice to catch up on the comings and goings since we moved. Saturday afternoon we met with the Iversons in one of the Sealing Rooms after they finished taking out their own endowments. They chose Saturday to be Sealed because it was their 1oth wedding anniversary, which I thought was not a bad way to celebrate 10 years of being together. I first met the Iversons a couple of years ago when I began home teaching their family. I enjoyed going over and visiting with them. Over time as we got to know them better they became our friends. I've always liked Mike because is the kind of guy who seems to have something to smile about. Cynthia told me 2 months ago they were planning this and I made sure to circle the date on our calendar.

This is Cynthia and Amy oogling over some new jewlery they were looking at getting. Actually Cynthia wanted to get something for her sister and sister in law who were watching our kids for the weekend.

We actually updated our blog today! Check it out!
It was great to see you guys today. I'm glad things are going well for you.
Amazingly enough, I saw every single member of our old EQ presidency today. Of course I saw you and Adam after Sacrament Meeting and after church Russ and Mindy stopped by to give us an invitation to Cannon Myburgh's baby shower. They now live in the Myburghs' ward. They sold their house in Westview Estates because they couldn't really afford it and moved to a tract home (rental) by Myburghs.
Pretty uncanny that I saw all three of you. What were the chances of that happening?
Can you believe I've been in the EQ Presidency since the Cedar Meadows Ward split -- six months as Sec. and two years as Pres.? Hopefully I can fly under the radar for a while when we move!
It was great to see you guys yesterday and on Saturday. We wish that we could have had more time to visit with you guys. If you are ever down again, let's plan to go out to dinner or something, but if not we will have to stop by when we are up that way now that we have a phone number.
Take care.
It sounds like you had a great time even though you found a freakin' huge spider. I'm not sure that I would ever vacation in St. George again after seeing that huge spider.
