We also went to Sacrament Meeting in our old ward and other than a few new faces, it felt like we never left. This was my first trip back since the move and it was as relaxing as we thought it would be. As we were leaving both Cynthia and I talked about how much we miss Cedar City and would have like to have seen more people.

Another Trip to Cedar City
Cynthia and I took a trip down to Cedar City this weekend without the kids. Some friends of ours were getting Sealed in the St. George Temple and we wanted to be there with them. We drove down after Cynthia got off work Friday night. When we arrived we stayed up late talking with the Barricks (who we stayed with) and the Christians (another couple couple who also drove down) and it was nice to catch up on the comings and goings since we moved. Saturday afternoon we met with the Iversons in one of the Sealing Rooms after they finished taking out their own endowments. They chose Saturday to be Sealed because it was their 1oth wedding anniversary, which I thought was not a bad way to celebrate 10 years of being together. I first met the Iversons a couple of years ago when I began home teaching their family. I enjoyed going over and visiting with them. Over time as we got to know them better they became our friends. I've always liked Mike because is the kind of guy who seems to have something to smile about. Cynthia told me 2 months ago they were planning this and I made sure to circle the date on our calendar.

This is Cynthia and Amy oogling over some new jewlery they were looking at getting. Actually Cynthia wanted to get something for her sister and sister in law who were watching our kids for the weekend.

Caden's Baptism
Saturday we spent the afternoon at Kekoa and Marci's house for Caden's baptism. After the baptism we went to their house for a hellishly nice dinner. The guests of honor were several nice sized Maryland Blue Crabs that were plucked from the Chesapeake Bay less than 24 hours before. I think the kids were as excited as most of the adults to eat (and play) with the crabs.
It was important that the kids ate first and were settled before the rest of us got down to business. And yes when you eat crabs, it's all business.
I was able to get a nice close up picture of Leilani and it turned out really well.

I think if you were to ask the boys what they like best about crabs, they would say, "using the hammer".

Grass Roots Effort
I don't know if anybody was aware, but apparently there is a grass roots effort to get me elected as president of the United States. I know it's crazy but I guess there are some important people who think I've got the 'Right Stuff'. It's been all over the internet and spreading like wild fire. Up the Mountain...Again
We decided to take another trip up the mountain again. This one was much safer because we took the van. Incidently I was messing with the truck and can't seem to get it out of 4 wheel drive, so if anybody has any suggestions... We had planned on going to the local high school football homecoming game because that is what all good Nephites do. However, we talked to some friends and decided that the kids would much rather go up where it was cooler and they could roam around. Oh yea and it was also FREE! We found a nice spot that wasn't too crowded. We roasted hot dogs and marshmallows. Between 3 families we had 14 kids and nobody got hurt! With all of the kids playing with the fire and swinging roating sticks I thought for sure somebody was going to get hurt. I kept waiting for Kai to fall down and hurt his shoulder but he did pretty good. The first picture is of Keanu and a friend. The 2 of them are only 5 days apart and they play together often.

A Quiet Evening Home with Us
We have a video component on our camera and I have only used it once a long time ago for a school project. I wanted to give it a try and see how it looks over the internet so I filmed a few minutes of us tonight. I am normally doing a group on Monday nights, but cancelled it tonight. I decided to make the most of the night and get some video of a typical night for us.
